Every month, StreamMusic runs Monthly Strawberry—our way of spotlighting standout demos from the community of composers using Strawberry Fields.
Here’s the gist: each month has a theme or genre. Between the 1st and last day, composers send in their demos. We then pick the track that hits the brief best and award a Benefit.
Since launching in November 2023, the contest hasn’t missed a single round, and thousands of demos have already rolled in. It’s become a steady tradition and a fun way to connect directly with composers.
The benefit is usually prize money, but sometimes we switch it up—like an invite to a Seoul songwriting camp. The reward changes depending on the month’s concept, keeping the contest exciting and fresh.
What sets Monthly Strawberry apart: we don’t claim copyright on submissions. Your music stays yours. The Benefit is exactly that—a perk, not a payout in exchange for rights.
And while the contest isn’t mainly for pitching songs to production companies, with your go-ahead, some tracks may later get pitched.
Monthly Strawberry is wide open to everyone—from brand-new composers to seasoned pros. You can submit more than one demo, and even past winners are encouraged to jump back in. The only ground rules: no already-released tracks and no copyright violations.
